Alkemi is a recycled composite material, composed of minimum 60% post-industrial scrap aluminum and polymeric resins for use as a solid surface material. it is strong, durable, and exquisite to the eye. Alkemi offers a fresh and innovative alternative to stagnant commercial options such as solid surface, plastic laminate, stone, and glass. Surfaces may be sanded and buffed to matte or high gloss, and the material can be cut and shaped using conventional woodwork tools. All this stems from a waste product that, during the recycling process for aluminum scrap, would otherwise burn to nothing but an invisible pollutant.
